We eagerly anticipate your exploration, where you'll capture the quintessence of both Chinese and foreign cultures through a unique lens, unveiling the extraordinary allure of the convergence of diverse Eastern and Western cultures.

Let us immerse ourselves in the rich aroma of ink, sensing the harmonious blend of cultures from diverse parts of the world, and seize the resonances that span across time and space with our brushes. With calligraphy and painting art as our bridge, we can surmount the boundaries of nations, languages, and cultures. Together, let's pen a future brimming with hope and beauty.

From now until 12:00PM on June 15th, 2025 (Beijing time).

1.The Calligraphy and Painting Challenge is open to Chinese language enthusiasts worldwide, with no age restrictions.

2.Submitters must be non-native Chinese speakers and non-Chinese citizens.

3.Minors must obtain parental or guardian consent for submission.

4.Submissions must be made using the submitter's real name. Pseudonyms or repeated submissions under the same pseudonym will not be evaluated.

The Calligraphy and Painting Challenge accepts submissions of calligraphy and painting works. Calligraphy entries must be created with a traditional Chinese brush. There is no restriction on the calligraphy style, and the main body of the text should consist of 10 characters or more (including 10 characters). Painting works can include Chinese paintings, oil paintings, watercolors, gouache paintings, sketches, acrylic paintings, prints, comics, digital paintings, etc. (three - dimensional creations such as paper - cutting, origami, and sculptures are excluded).

When submitting, please indicate the size of the paper or canvas (e.g., octavo, A4, 1m×0.3m, etc.).

*Do not submit works created by AI (Artificial Intelligence).

After completing the calligraphy or painting work, the contributor must create a vlog to explain the creative concept, the meaning of the text (if applicable), and the backstory behind the work.

Video Duration: No longer than 5 minutes.

Video Format: Mainstream video formats such as mp4 and mov.

Resolution: Landscape - oriented, 1920×1080 or higher.

A submission is considered successful when both the calligraphy or painting work and the vlog are submitted together. Incomplete submissions will be deemed invalid.

Contributors must write original text or create original paintings centered around the theme. The content should be positive. Ensure that there are no disputes regarding copyright, right of reputation, etc. in the calligraphy and painting content, and comply with relevant laws and regulations.

(ⅰ) Prize Setting

1. Grand Prizes

One in the Calligraphy Group and one in the Painting Group.

2. Individual Prizes

The Calligraphy and Painting Groups will be assessed in groups, with 5 Best Technique Awards, 5 Best Presentation Awards, 5 Most Creative Awards, 5 Most Potential Awards, 5 Network Popularity Awards, 5 Social Media Popularity Awards for each group respectively.

(ⅱ) Prizes

1. Grand Prizes

Contributors who win the Grand Prize in this challenge will each be awarded a place in the Chinese Bridge Summer Camp in China and a round-trip ticket to China (provided by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation).

2. Individual Prizes

Contributors who win individual prizes in this challenge will each be awarded a place in the Chinese Bridge Summer Camp in China (provided by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation).

*The winners of the individual prizes will be responsible for their own round-trip airfare to China.

1.The judging process will take place in July 2025.

2.Submitted works must be completed independently by the submitter. Please do not make multiple submissions. Violators will be disqualified. All submissions will not be exchanged or returned.

3.When judging prizes in the Calligraphy and Painting categories, the same contributor will not be awarded multiple prizes, and one person can only win one prize. Only one prize will be awarded for each work, and independent creativity is encouraged. Winners of the 2023 "Chinese Bridge" Calligraphy and Painting Challenge will not participate in the evaluation of this year's event.

4.All participants will be awarded a certificate of honor by "Chinese Bridge". Electronic certificates will be sent to the winners within 30 working days from the date of announcement of the winners.
