On April 19, the 2026 Shiyan Marathon officially kicked off at the Shiyan Olympic Sports Center. More than ten thousand runners from home and abroad poured their sweat into the event to unleash their sporting passion. A cheering squad made up of over 20 international students from our university cheered enthusiastically for participants along the Checheng West Road segment, demonstrating the youthful vigour and sense of mission of international students at Hubei University of Automotive Technology.

To liven up the atmosphere at the Checheng West Road race segment, the international student cheering squad put on Chinese dance performances to root for the runners. This fully reflected the positive outlook of our university’s international students. It is more than just a social practice activity; it serves as a vivid example of how international students have deeply immersed themselves in Shiyan’s local culture. Young learners from across the globe stepped out of the classroom and into the Auto City, turning their international perspectives into concrete efforts to serve and develop Shiyan.
