The event was hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, and the All-China Women’s Federation, and organized by the Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Shiyan Municipal People’s Government. At the request of the competition organizing committee, the Foreign Language and Trade College, together with the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, sent several teachers and students to provide full-time language services throughout the event, ensuring solid support for the smooth running of the competition.

During the competition, two of our teachers, Chen Qiong and Liu Kexin, were in charge of simultaneous interpretation. Facing the challenges of fast-paced speeches and dense terminology, they delivered accurate and smooth real-time interpretation under high pressure, thanks to their solid professional skills and steady on-site performance. Their work built a bridge of communication for Chinese and international guests, fully demonstrating the top-level professional competence ofHUAT’s translation faculty.

In the mock tour-leading section, our teacher Guo Jing guided our students Zhou Zihan and Yang Mingye, together with international students, to vividly simulate several tour scenarios. The students responded calmly, spoke clearly, and cooperated well with each other, realistically recreating the situations of leading foreign-language tours. Their excellent performance won praise from both the judges and the audience.
By taking part in this event, our teacher-student team not only ensured the international standard of the competition with their professional abilities, but also showed the public the outstanding overall quality and positive spirit ofHUAT’s teachers and students, winning wide recognition forHUAT.
