On April 13, 2025, 48 international students from Hubei University of Automotive Technology, representing countries including Bangladesh, Ghana, Morocco, Pakistan, Algeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, and Tanzania, shined bright at the 2025 Shiyan Marathon. They measured the mountains and rivers of this "Water City of Automobiles" with youthful strides, and composed a chapter of friendship with sincere smiles.

The students woke up at 5 a.m. and took a bus to the Olympic Sports Center. At 7:30 a.m., the starting gun fired, and they raced towards the finish line. Among them, 47 students participated in the Fun Run, while ISLAM BELHAOUA from Algeria took on the half marathon.

"It was an amazing experience to complete the 22-kilometer half marathon in Shiyan," BELHAOUA shared. "I'm so happy to have had this opportunity, and I hope to finish the full marathon next year."

Over 20,000 runners registered for this marathon, including 512 athletes from 23 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.

Through this event, our international students embodied the spirit of perseverance and never giving up, adding a vibrant and memorable touch to the internationalization of sports in Shiyan.
