At 9:00 a.m. on October 25, the first Chinese class for children of overseas Chinese at our university’s Confucius Institute officially started. The class targets Chinese children in the Ashanti Region of Ghana who need to learn Chinese, with the teaching objectives of "able to read, speak fluently, read smoothly, and write neatly". It adopts interactive and immersive teaching, aiming to inherit and safeguard the cultural roots of China.
The launch of this class fills the gap in systematic Chinese learning for local Chinese children, marking an important breakthrough for our Confucius Institute in promoting localized services, and has received positive responses and warm welcome from local Chinese communities.
