To deepen campus internationlization,broaden staffs' global perspectives and help raise the international level of teachers,the first session of the International Salon for Returned Faculty of HUAT in 2026, which focused on report summaries and experience exchanges, was successfully held in Room 1305 of the Teacher Development Center on the morning of April 3rd.

In this salon,Li Zheng and Li Jing from the School of Foreign Studies and Trade,Zhang Zelin from the School of Digital Economy,three faculty members who had visited overseas universities shared detailed and comprehensive experiences from their academic visits to the University of Waikato (New Zealand), Technische Universität Braunschweig (Germany), and the University of Western Australia (Australia) respectively. Their presentations covered project application, pre-departure preparation, overseas study and daily life.The attending faculty listened carefully, took detailed notes, and engaged in in-depth discussions with the speakers on issues related to application procedures. The event was conducted in a warm and active atmosphere.

Everyone expressed that the sharing by the three teachers was tailored to the practical needs of visiting scholar applications, accurately answering many questions about project selection, procedure handling, and other aspects, giving everyone a clearer understanding of overseas visiting scholar applications and practices. The successful holding of this salon fully leveraged the role of returned teachers as a bridge and bond, effectively sharing valuable experiences of overseas visiting scholar programs. The International Cooperation and Exchange Office of the school will also continue to provide comprehensive service and support throughout the entire process of visiting scholar applications, build more platforms for teachers to exchange and learn, further promote the internationalization of the school's faculty, and inject more international elements into the high-quality development of the school.
