Recently, Hubei University of Automotive Technology , Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology , Hubei Truck Station Technology Co., Ltd., and Ghana Standards Authority formally signed a four party memorandum of understanding. According to the agreement, the four parties will jointly build key projects such as the Ghana National Automotive Research and Diagnostic Center and a new energy vehicle assembly plant. This move is not only an important step for the university to serve the Belt and Road Initiative and the Dual Carbon goals, and to promote the“industrial going global”of new energy vehicles, but also marks HUAT’s new progress in global industry-academia-research-application cooperation, opening a new chapter in international partnership.
As a concrete action for the university to carry out social responsibility and fulfill its mission, this four party cooperation will effectively help HUAT’s research achievements enter the international market, and build a cross-border platform for technology transfer and industry integration. At the same time, the implementation of the projects will bring new vitality to Shiyan’s goal of becoming the“Commercial Vehicle Capital of China”, and further strengthen the regional automotive industry advantages.
It is reported that the cooperation project deeply integrates all links of industry, academia, research and application. Its core aim is to bring China’s mature new energy vehicle technology, industry standards and professional talent resources to the African market, support the development of local green transport systems, and contribute university wisdom and strength to building a community with a shared future for mankind.
