On June 24th, the School of Optic-electronic Engineering and the School of New Energy of our university officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Quantum Information and New Energy Technology with the Bru Hammond Energy Center of Nkrumah University of Technology in Ghana. This marks a new stage of institutionalized and in-depth development of cooperation between the two universities in the fields of optoelectronic technology, quantum technology, and new energy.

This partnership will actively integrate the superior resources of our university's School of Optoelectronic Engineering, School of New Energy, and the Shiyan Municipal Key Laboratory for Quantum Information and New Energy, jointly with the Brew-Hammond Energy Centre. It will focus on four core areas of cooperation: joint scientific research, international talent cultivation, results sharing and transformation, and the joint establishment of scientific research platforms. According to the agreement, the cooperation framework will be implemented starting in 2025 under the coordination of the respective supporting institutions from both sides, aiming to establish a new benchmark for China-Africa scientific and technological collaboration.
