In order to promote the creation of international atmosphere in our university, enhance teachers' and students' understanding of UK higher education and culture, and support the 2025 enrollment for Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools, the International Cooperation and Exchange Office andthe Teacher Development Centerjointly held the second 2025 International Salon, an experience exchange session themed "UKSpecialEdition", in the lecture hall on the fourth floor of the IUR CENTER on the afternoon of June 19th. Vice President Zhang Hongxia attended the event, along withtherepresentativesof teachersand studentsfromeachsecondary schools.

Vice President Zhang Hongxia shared her insights from her advanced studies at the University of Oxford, UK, in 2024, titled"Visiting Britain, Discussing Oxford." Starting from the academic traditions and teaching models of Oxford University, she emphasized the need for the university to anchor its educational development direction, innovate talent cultivation models, continuously explore management mechanisms for industrialcolleges, and simultaneously promote a comprehensive upgrade of education and teaching.
Ms. Zheng Dongli, thedirector for theChinese-British Vehicle Engineering program at the School of Automotive Engineering, shared details regarding the program's development history, academic exchanges, and student cultivation. Subsequently, Yang Jinglin and Zhuang Mingzhe, students from the School of Automotive Engineering, shared their experiences from a study tour at the University of Bolton, UK. Theydeeply felt the impact ofthe UK's "open" education system, which helped enhance their cross-cultural learning and teamwork abilities.

It is reported that theundergraduate education program inAutomotiveEngineering, jointly offered by our university and the University of Great Manchester, UK, has a duration of four years. Students who complete the required credits from both the Chinese and foreign partners and meet thecorrespondingrequirements will receive degree certificates from both Hubei University of AutomotiveTechnologyand the University of Great Manchester, UK. This program officially commenced enrollment in September 2015, and to date, a cumulative total of 60 students have studied abroad through this program.The number of enrollment for the 2025is projected to be 150 students.
