On the morning of February 20, the Chinese Dean Su Zibo and Foreign Dean Daniel Duah of ourschool's Confucius Institute paid a visit to the newly appointed Governor of the Ashanti Region, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, and his Office Director, Mr. Michael Owusu.

During the meeting,DeanSu briefly introduced the mission and functions of the Confucius Institute, emphasizing its important role in promoting Chinese language teaching and enhancing cultural exchanges between China and Ghana. Healsoexpressed hope for the consistent support of the Ashanti Regional Government. DeanDuah reviewed the development of the Confucius Institute since its establishment on December 19, 2023, and presented the achievements in language teaching and cultural activities.
Subsequently, the two deans, on behalf of the Confucius Institute, invited the Governor to participate in the "Chinese Bridge" Principal Delegation Visit to China program at the end of April and presented him with an invitation letter. The Governor praised the work of the Confucius Institute and gladly accepted the invitation. He stated that before his visit to China, he would lead a team to visit the Confucius Institute to gain afurtherunderstanding of its activities.
It is reported that ourschool's Confucius Institute highly values friendly cooperation with local governments and has received strong support from the former Governor on multiple occasions, such as during the institute's inauguration and cultural events. This visit to the new Governor will lay a solid foundation for continuing the bilateral cooperation.
