Online Cooperation and Exchange between Hubei University of Automotive Technology and Daegu Catholic University of Korea

News (Article by Hu Jiang / Photo by Dong Haiyan) — On May 14, our university (Hubei University of Automotive Technology, hereinafter referred to as HUAT) successfully held an online cooperation and exchange meeting with Daegu Catholic University of Korea. Attending the meeting were Kim Jong-il (Vice President), Park Sang-wook (Director of the International Affairs Division) and Fan Chenxing (Project Leader for China-South Korea Programs) from Daegu Catholic University, as well as Zhang Hongxia (Vice President of HUAT) and relevant persons in charge from the School of Automotive Business and the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of our university. All participants gathered online to discuss the cooperation blueprint.


At the meeting, Zhang Hongxia comprehensively introduced HUAT’s development history, educational characteristics, advantageous majors and landmark scientific and technological achievements. She extended a sincere invitation to teachers and students of Daegu Catholic University, expressing anticipation for in-depth exchanges in future offline visits. The School of Automotive Business elaborated on the characteristics of undergraduate and graduate education, as well as its achievements in academic and professional development, and expressed strong confidence and expectation for Sino-foreign cooperative education programs.

On the Korean side, Kim Jong-il shared the educational characteristics of Daegu Catholic University and highly praised the distinctive advantages of HUAT’s automotive discipline. After in-depth discussion, the two sides reached a consensus on multi-dimensional cooperation, including student exchange programs, teachers’ academic visits, joint training of master's degrees, and the implementation of Sino-foreign cooperative education programs. This has laid a solid foundation for subsequent substantive cooperation.
