In a strategic move to broaden the cultural influence of the Confucius Institute,the leadership team from the Confucius Institute pay a visit to Kumasi Technical University and Senior High Schoo of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology on September 17th and 18th respectively, accelerating the establishment of Chinese language teaching centers in these institutions.

On the morning of September 17, Prof. Gabriel Dwomoh, President of Kumasi Technical University, extended a warm welcome to the visiting of the Confucius Institute delegation.Both sides engaged in cordial discussions regarding the establishment of Chinese language teaching sites and the administration of HSK proficiency tests. Kumasi Technical University, which has long placed high value on Chinese language education, expressed aspirations to strengthen institutional collaboration, enhance bilateral communication, and elevate the academic standards of Chinese language programs through the partnership.

On the morning of September 18, Mr. Anthony Boasiako Duodo-Antwi,the Principal of Senior High School,Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology enthusiastically welcomed the delegation from the Confucius Institute. During the meeting, the principal expressed great interest in collaborating with the Confucius Institute,emphasizing his hope that the establishment of a Chinese language teaching center at the school would provide students with more possibilities for their further development.
Su Zibo, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute, introduced the fundamental profile and current development status of the Confucius Institute to attendees from both schools respectively. He stated that the Institute is willing to collaborate with educational institutions at all levels with an open mindset, establishing Chinese language teaching centers. Through platforms such as the "Chinese Bridge" Principals' Delegation to China program, summer camps, and Chinese proficiency competitions, the Confucius Institute aims to promote academic exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Ghanaian schools in areas including discipline development and study opportunities in China.
In the next phase,the Confucius Institute will sequentially present written proposals of cooperation intent and draft Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) to both institutions. The both sides have reached consensus to expedite the scheduling of official signing ceremonies for the teaching sites.
