On the morning of July 7, 2023, Wan Mingming, Secretary of the School of Literature of Hubei University, and a group of 7 people came to our school for discussion and exchange, and the School of International Education and the School of Foreign Languages participated in the symposium.

Zhu Zhanwei, Dean of the School of International Education, welcomed the arrival of Secretary Wan Mingming and his delegation. He gave an introduction of our university's "three-step" development strategy. Additionally, sino-foreign cooperation projects and international Chinese education are detailed in combination with the distinctive features of Shiyi and HUAT. Our university boasts the international Chinese education featuring rich regional resources and specialized characteristics, which is highly appreciated by Secretary Wan Mingming. Then, Associate Professor Zeng Xiangxi gave a comprehensive presentation on the research projects, a part of Center for Language Education And Cooperation, undertaken by the School of Chinese language.

During the discussion, both parties delved into topics such as the enrollment and international cooperation and exchange project management, promotion of international Chinsese education, the Chinsese Proficiency Test(HSK), center for areas studies, among others. Futhermore, the visiting experts also put forward suggestions on the selection and dispatch of international Chinese teacher volunteers, the professional development of Chinese international education teachers, and the construction of Chinese teaching materials resources.
