On the afternoon of September 22th, Mr. Jean-Yves ROUX(Chinese name:Hu Jianyi)—Consul General of France in Wuhan, Mr. Maxime FERAILLE(Chinese name: Fei Yi)—commissioner for Scientific Research and Innovation in Higher Education of Consulate General of France in Wuhan , Ms. FEI Fan—Consul General Translator  came to visit HUAT.

Vice-President Zhang Hongxia warmly received Mr. Hu Jianyi and his delegation, accompanied by Zhang Chao-Director of the office of foreign affairs of Shiyan Municipal Committee, and Zheng Yu - Deputy Scetion Director of Foreign Affairs Department.

Mr. Hu Jianyi and his delegation first came to the intelligent team of HUAT to learn about the performance of the racing car. They had a cordial conversation with the team's students in French with great interest ，and took group photos with the them.

Afterwards , the delegation visited the Technological Innovation Exhibition Exchange Center of HUAT.After the visit, the two sides held a discussion and exchange in the multi-functional meeting room on the third floor  of the production and education building.

At the meeting, Zhang Hongxia extended the warmest welcome to the arrival of Mr. Hu Jianyi and his delegation,and has carried out close cooperation with French enterprises such as DONGFENG PEUGEEOT CITROEN AUTOMOBILE COMPANY LTD, Valeo and Faurecia in personnel training,looking forward to carrying out more extensive exchanges and cooperation with more French universities and achieving a win-win situation in scientific research and personnel training.

Chen Yufeng , president of the Institute of  Automotive Engineers, introduced the basic situation of HUAT in discipline construction, personnel training, characteristic development , etc., and the history of educational cooperation between HUAT and French universities, and expressed the concept of further strengthening the Sino-French cooperation in running schools  and international scientific research cooperation.

Mr. Hu Jianyi said that China is the witness of the development of electric vehicles, and the future development of cars will rely on the joint efforts of universities and research institutes,HUAT has established a solid foundation for cooperation with French universities,the Consulate General of France in Wuhan, China will continue to provide support for the introduction of high-quality French higher education resources and international research cooperation.

After the meeting, Mr. Hu Jianyi and his delegation visited the expanded campus of HUAT and took group photos.
