China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) and the Cultural and Education Section British Embassy jointly organized the Sino-British Higher Education Forum in Beijing, on the morning of September 19. Zhang Hongxia, member of the Standing Committee of HUAT Committee and Vice President of HUAT, participates in this forum.
Mr. Fang Jun, Deputy Director and Level I Bureau Rank Official of Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education of China, Mr. An Yan, Deputy Secretary General of CEAIE, Mr. Scott MacDonald, Chief Executive of the British Council and Mr. Tang Zhili, Minister of Cultural and Education Section British Embassy, attended the forum and delivered speeches.
On behalf of HUAT, Zhang Hongxia had a warm discussion with leaders from Chinese and British universities on the key factors and challenges for the success of Sino-British joint education, contributions of joint education in other fields, complementary advantages of Sino-British joint scientific research, and institutional guarantee for transnational scientific research cooperation.
It is reported that more than 120 university leaders or representatives from more than 60 universities in China and Britain participated in this forum, which has the highest level for visiting-China delegation of British university presidents and the largest scale since the COVID-19 pandemic.
