International Students During Sports Day

Form May 5th to 6th, the 43rd Sports Meeting of HUAT was successfully held.With full preparation and motivation, 38 international students from School of International Education attended the wonderful HUAT event in full spirits.

The School of International Education Phalanx was formed by international students who are mainly from 11 countries, including Bengal, Morocco, Rwanda, Ghana, Mali, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, Botswana, Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Malaysia.These students wore traditional ethnic costumes, holding a plaque and a flag. Every student was beautiful and spirited. In front of rostrum, they demonstrated the colorful culture that "Civilizations are enriched by communication and learning from each other". They also uttered their sincere voices that A world in which countries treasure their own distinct heritages, appreciate other cultures and promote shared prosperity and We are the world.

This was the third Sports Meeting that attended by international students. These students prepared and registered actively. A total of 24 students participated in the sports events. And the number of applicants had reached the maximum limitsuch as in the events of 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump and shot put. The athletes from 4x100 meter relay race were well-trained and cooperative, showing sunshine, health, hard work, positive sportsmanship. They won the sixth place in the darts competition. Most of international student athletes said that their performance of this year was better than that of last year and good performances came out of harder training. They would try to gain better results in the next Sports Meeting.

The 43rd Sports Meeting ended on the afternoon of May 8th and the School of International Education got the prize of "PE Morality Award", which was good encouragement and approbation to the whole international students. These students would also continue to work hard to welcome the next Sports Meeting with a better attitude.
