On the afternoon of October 3, Xu Ping, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the former Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, came to HUAT for investigation, accompanied by Cheng Hongbing, Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhang Wenxue, president, Li Tao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Zhang Hongxia, Vice President, Wang Wenshan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Director of the University Office.

Xu Ping and his delegation visited HUAT joint laboratory of Sharing-X mobile service technology platform, Hubei Key Laboratory of Automotive Power Transmission and Electronic Control, the National Manufacturing Equipment Digital Sub Center, and HUAT Formula Racing Team together with other scientific research achievements.
