It is reported that five students fromHUAT have arrived in Clermont-Ferrand, France on August 23, 2022. They will study language andmajor courses for one year at the University of Clermont Auvergne in France, and then undergo two years of professional training in the School of Engineers. After passing the assessment, they will receive an engineer diploma.

On August 27th, Mr. Zhu Zhengze, who is studying for a doctoral degree at UCA University in France, organized an exchange meeting with Xie Ao. At the meeting, Mr. Zhu kindly asked the students about their recent living conditions in Clermont-Ferrand, and once again explained the relevant information of the School of Engineering to the students, introduced the curriculum arrangement and extracurricular life of UCA University, and emphasizedthe importance of major choice to the students andurged students to make a reasonable study plan. At the same time, Mr. Zhu put forward relevant requirements for students to study and live in France in response to the instruction of the back-to-school class meeting education, and reminded the students to pay attention to epidemic prevention and personal safety. Xie Ao also shared the experience of studying in France for the first year of study and life. Afterwards, Mr. Zhu led the students to visit the UCA campus.

It is reported that in October 2014,HUAT and the French Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA) signed a "3/4+3" joint training agreement between the two universities. According to the agreement, the first-year and second-year undergraduates majoring incomputerscience and engineering inHUATwill have the opportunity to enter the National Polytechnic Institute of UCA University in France to study at the master level by participating in the selection of UCA University after 3-4 years of study in the schools. Those who have successfully completed their studies will receive a bachelor's degree certificate and a degree certificate issued byHUAT, as well as a master's degree in engineers certified by the French Council of Engineers (CTI) issued by Clermont Auvergne University in France French public university master's diploma), which is certified by the Chinese Ministry of Education as a master's degree.In2022, the program has been successfully implemented for 9 years, becoming one of the most mature Chinese and foreigncooperation program inHUAT, and has become an important way forHUAT students to improve their academic qualifications.
