Outstanding Award in the Finals of the International Student Dubbing Contest

On August 19, the finals of the 2022 China-ASEAN Educational Exchange Week full-year program"Charming Chinese, Immersive Voice" International Students' Dubbing Contest was heldinGuiyang. KIVENI LULENDO GINIAS (Chinese name Ji Xiaolong) fromHUAT won the Excellence Award.

During the summer vacation, the School of International Education actively mobilized and organized international students topreparefor the competition. Ji Xiaolong overcame the impact of the epidemic and carefully prepared dubbing works. After the preliminary round and re-examination, Ji Xiaolong successfully entered the finals and competed on the same stage with international students from more than 10 colleges and universities including Jiangsu University, Guangxi Normal University, and Guizhou University. His spoken Chinese is authentic and vivid, which highlyrecreated the professional standard of the original advertisement, and was well received by the judges and teachers.

It is reported that this competition, as one of the year-round activities of the 2022 China-ASEAN Educational Exchange Week, provides international students with opportunities to show their language talents and release their individuality. In recent years, international students from HUAT have participated in the China-ASEAN Silk Road Youth Exchange Program twice, and won the third prize in the 2022 China-ASEAN Educational Exchange Week Micro Video Creation Competition.
