At 4: 00 p.m. on March 28, 2022, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange (ICEO) together with Faculty Development Center and the School of Foreign languages held the 47th International Exchange Micro-Salon in Room 1305 of the first Teaching Building. Gao Zijuan, a teacher from the School of Foreign languages of our university,serving as the keynote speaker of this micro-salon, shared her experience in teaching Chinese at the University of Nigeria in Africa. More than 40 teachers and students participated in the salon.
Teacher Gao first introduced the application procedure of international Chinese teachers, and then introduced the basic conditions of Nigeria from the aspects of geographical location, local conditions and customs, and cuisine culture. She also shared interesting teaching stories and wonderful clips of life at the University of Nigeria. With the passing of pictures, teachers and students felt the wonderful collision between Chinese and African cultures.
During her years of teaching in Africa, Mrs. Gao chose to face it optimistically under the difficult teaching conditions, to bear full of ideals and beliefs of teaching and educating people, to sow the seeds of knowledge on the land of Africa so that she can make efforts to strengthen the cultural exchanges between our university and African higher institutions.
This micro-salon was successfully concluded in the warm communication between teachers and students and Mrs. Gao.
