Recently, Lu Kun, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ghana, visited Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST), our partner university, with the efforts made by Prof. Min Zuchuan and Prof. Cai Xiaohui who are international Chinese teachers in KNUST assigned by our university. They had in-depth exchange of views on cultural and language communication between China and Ghana.
Ambassador Lu highly praised the two teachers for overcoming difficulties during the epidemic, persevering and actively participating in Chinese teaching, and sincerely thanked the university leaders for their strong support for Chinese teaching. He inquired in detail about their teaching and living conditions in Ghana, and presented them with anti-epidemic materials, told them to take care of themselves in epidemic prevention and health. He expressed his sincere gratitude to KNUST for the services and assistance provided to our teachers, and expressed that China is willing to work with the Africa to promote and strengthen China-Ghana language and cultural exchanges.
Professor Daniel Duah, Director of the International Program Office of KNUST, warmly welcomed Ambassador Lu's visit and expressed his willingness to deepen mutual exchanges and produce more cooperative results.
It is reported that since their arrival at KNUST in Ghana, Professor Min Zuchuan and Professor Cai Xiaohui of our university have worked hard to promote the international Chinese teaching and the establishment of international Chinese majors in the university, and actively promote the two universities to carry out cultural exchanges in the fields of education and research. The two parties have signed a framework cooperation agreement in June 2021 and are working on more practical cooperation.
