On the afternoon of June 17, Mr. Qin Jie, vice chairman of the board of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Company, which is the main sponsor of HUAT’s racing car team came to HUAT and inspected and guided HUAT’s racing car team. Mao Gaobo, vice president of HUAT met and had a talk with them about the preparation of the racing car team going to Germany to participate an international competition this July. Wang Baohua, dean of Automotive Engineering College, Tang Deqiang, deputy director of Teaching Administration Office, Deng Zhaowen, the coach of the team, were also present at the meeting.

During the meeting, the representatives of the team gave an account of preparation for the upcoming news conference of HUAT’s racing car team and its new car, resent testing condition of the new car, transportation plan and activities arrangement during the competition, as well as the matters related to the main sponsor, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Company, like how to coat the logo, uniforms and etc.

On behalf of the company, Mr. Qin said that the company would try to provide the team with all the necessary goods and resources and invite media for further publicity. He also said the team going to Germany to participate the competition represents not only HUAT but the whole China as well. The experience of the competition was a valuable part of their university life. He wishes that the team members would make continuous efforts to win better grades and win glory for the country.
