On May 29th, an initiative meeting about placement for graduates in 2014 was held at the conference room 5101 of HUAT. Presented at the meeting are Mr. Li Weizhong, HR manager of Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Company LTD (DPCA), Mr. Li Zhengqiao, deputy director of Students Affairs Department of HUAT and as well as more than 300 students. According to the agreement, DPCA will offer about 20 jobs of placement for students who will graduate in 2014.
As a host, Mr. Li Zhengqiao, on behalf of HUAT, made a welcome speech at the beginning of the meeting and expressed his thanks to DPCA, which enrolled 34 graduates in 2013, for providing good internship and employment opportunity for graduates of HUAT during the past years. The cooperation between HUAT and DPCA, he said, would benefit many more students of HUAT. Mr. Li also said that the students in the placement would cherish the opportunity, study hard and distinguish themselves at the time of graduation.
Mr. Li Weizhong, on behalf of DPCA, expressed his thanks to HUAT for offering many excellent graduates, who added new vitality to the development of the company. He gave an introduction to the requirements of the placement. He said that DPCA is the largest Sino-French joint venture in China and in 2012 while DPCA celebrated its foundation of 20th anniversary, HUAT celebrated its foundation of 40th anniversary, the two sides signed an agreement of cooperation, which include internship, placement and job offers and etc. He also said the HUAT was the first stop for the company’s enrollment tour around the country, which showed the significance the company attached to the graduates of HUAT. At the end of the talk, he answered all the questions the students asked about DPCA’ organization, jurisdiction of the brand management, marketing R&D, production, promotion, salary, welfare and etc. and each answer won thunderous applause from the students.
