On September 17, on behalf of all the visiting teachers back from Germany, Professor Chen Haifeng, director of the president office, professor Yang Lijun, dean of College of Economy and management, and Dr. Wang Shenghuai from College of Mechanical Engineering gave a lecture respectively about their deep impression and comprehension after they visited some universities and companies in Germany.

Professor Chen Haifeng summarized in his speech with five words “clean, strict, economic, reliable and innovative” which is demonstrated respectively by what he saw, experienced and the pictures he took in Germany. When it came to what we can learn from Germany, Chen said that quality education, disciplines, serious attitude towards work to improve management and efficiency is the top priority. As a unique engineering university featured in automobile industry, he said we should attach more importance to the combination of theory with practice, innovation so as to adapt ourselves to the rapid development of the market. at the end of his speech, he concluded it with “less complaint, more practical work” to encourage himself and all the staff.

Professor Yang Lijun made a speech entitled "the characteristics of Ulm University of Applied Sciences and its illumination to HUAT" in which he gave a brief introduction of German situation, the history and category of German university and the characteristics of universities of applied science. He suggested that in order to widen the channel of international cooperation and learn the successful experience of engineering universities abroad we should send more teachers abroad to study or as visiting scholars so as to deepen our education reform.

Dr. Wang Shenghuai’s speech is about his true feelings of the visit to Mercedes Benz Museum, Behr Company, Mercedes Benz company. From what he saw and experienced, he said that innovation could also start from the fundamentals and improvement is also a kind of innovation.
