President Zhong said in his welcome speech of the new term that he will, under the leadership of the university council of HUAT, unite and lead all the staff and students to try to arouse all the efforts to improve and create educational and teaching environment and facilities so as to accelerate the construction and development and that more talented and high-quality graduates will be cultivated by HUAT for the country and its people. He also expressed his hope to become a civilian president popular with all the staff and students. He said that both teachers and students are welcomed to put forward their views and suggestions by means of various forms like mailbox, president reception day and face-to-face exchange of opinions.

President Zhong expressed his appreciation upon student’s social activities during the summer vacation and achievements made by HUAT team in Germany informed the students of the latest news of development of the HUAT. He asked that the students should actively participate in sports exercise and enhanced their physique, have a broad mind and the courage to face the reality and competition, dare to move towards the society, be ideal, ambitious and confident ones of HUAT. At the end of his speech, he hoped that all the students will enjoy their each day on the campus by exhausting all the resources available to acquire proficiency in a particular line so that they can make their parents proud and serve the motherland better in the future.
