On the morning of November 11th, the opening ceremony of national science and technology achievement transformation service demonstration base (Shiyan), exhibition and promotion of major scientific and technological achievements (automobile industry) of Hubei provincial was held at HUAT. Hosted by Hubei Science and Technology Department and Shiyan Municipal government, the exhibition showed more than 100 achievements which were meant to be put into the market. 51 achievements of science and technology from HUAT are listed in a collection, called “Outstanding achievements of science and technology (for automobile fairs only), Hubei Province”. Agreements were signed about 8 achievements on the day, which shows that the eleventh national service demonstration base of science and technology transformation has come into operation.
It is reported that the base is jointly set up by some government departments and organizations such as the Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, the Net of National achievements of science and technology and transformation service center of Shiyan science and technology achievements. The main function of the base is to complete the system and service demonstration of science and technology of the nation (Shiyan) so that new scientific creation and invention can be soon turned into practical productivity and adjustment of economic structure and the result of up-graded industries can be achieved in Shiyan area.
