On the morning of November 9th, a donation ceremony was held on the first floor of Yifu Library where the first enrollment of automobile engineering of HUAT, Class 7941 celebrated their 30th anniversary of graduation and donated a large-sized model truck. Present at the ceremony were graduates of the class and Chairman of University Council Wang Chao, President Zhong Yuning, vice president Luo Yonge as well at the scene.
Professor Xiao Shengfa, vice Dean of Automotive Engineering College, presided over the opening ceremony. Xia Li, on behalf of Class 7941 made a speech in which he expressed their best wishes to HUAT and all the staff. He also affectionately summarized their thirty years of successful work and life, recalled the wonderful time they spent at HUAT. When it came to the symbolic meaning of the donated truck by Class 7941, he said that they hoped both HUAT and her graduates would function as a leading trailer to contribute themselves to the education and development of automobile industry of China in the future.
Class 7941 has been the first class of automobile engineering since the foundation of HUAT and it is also the first time for the whole class to return to HUAT to take such a donation activity collectively after their graduation.
