On the afternoon of February 26th, President Zhong Yuning went to Equipment Company of Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. and held a meeting with Mr. Yin Xiaotong, general manager of the company. They talked about joint scientific research and exchanged opinions. Mr. Chen Yurong, dean of Mechanical Engineering college, Mr. Guo Duxi, deputy director of president office attended the meeting as well.
Mr. Yin Xiaotong, who is a graduate of HUAT, and now chairman of alumni association of Shiyan area, said that the visit to the company for joint research was highly appreciated. After a brief introduction of the company, he said the company was willing to cooperate with HUAT in the field of research and technical problems solving such as robotic wielding, integration of programming technology, layout of wielding technology, users’ training on robot operation, technology introduction, talent cultivation and introduce HUAT to different plants and departments so that cooperation can be carried out quickly.
President Zhong Yuning thanked Mr. Yin’ full trust in and support to the scientific research work of HUAT and said HUAT will organize the relevant scientific research team as soon as possible and set up a research institute of robots so as to open a create a new situation of cooperation between universities and enterprises.
