On the afternoon of May 16th, President Zhong Yuning visited Mr. Zhu Yi, a Member of Standing Committee of Chinese Communist Party of Wuhan Municipal Committee and Party Secretary of Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WEDZ) and other related leaders at the office of WEDZ. The participants exchanged opinions about HUAT’s setting-up of an incubation base with production, learning and research being integrated and participation of Microsoft IT college etc.
Mr. Zhu Yi expressed his warm welcome to President Zhong and briefly introduced the construction of WEDZ. He said both DMF and the Zone committee attach great importance to the construction of HUAT in the Zone and Leaders of DFM had had many times of negotiation with leaders of the Zone committee about the preparation work of the base. Now the problem of land has been solved and the next step is to discuss the details. He expressed his hope that the base could be soon put into full operation so that it could provide good service for the economic development of WEDZ.
The Director of Wuhan wisdom city management office Yang Bo said, the base land formalities to the first half of the year can be, now is the preparation in advance, to strive for an early agreement.
President Zhong appreciated the strong support and kind help provided by the leaders of WEDZ. He explained in detail the idea of setting up such a base, and Dongfeng Engineers college in particular and said with the police of “Three-No-Change” support from DFM, such a move by HUAT at Dongfeng headquarters in Wuhan is to meet both the need of DFM and the need of development of the Zone. He said that HUAT would try to speed up the step of construction in WEDZ.
