The 2014 Science and Technology Conference of Vehicle Parts Group Co. Ltd of DFM was held successfully on May 5th at HUAT. Mr. Tong Dongcheng, general deputy manager of DFM, Mr. Yao Taihe, vice mayor of Shiyan city, Ms. Li Fuxiu, Party secretary of Science and Technology Bureau of Shiyan, Mr. Zhong Yuning and Jian Wei, president and vice president of HUAT, Mr. Weng Yunzhong, Gao Dalin, the general manager and Party secretary of Vehicle Parts Group Co. Ltd (VPGC) attended the conference, which was chaired by Mr. Weng Yunzhong.
During the conference, on behalf of HUAT, President Zhong Yuning made a speech about research fields, basic information and other activities that were carried out by HUAT. President Zhong Yuning pointed out that HUAT would promote its technology innovation ability unceasingly, strengthen the publicity and promotion of scientific and technological achievements of the automobile industry, enhance further development of cooperation, and strive to build a platform for communication and cooperation between HUAT and enterprises, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and patented technologies, and make greater contribution to DFM so as to play a better role for the service of local economic development and the automobile industry of China.
The conference also specially set up the exhibition of scientific and technological achievements resulted from cooperation between universities and enterprises, held discussion among participants and released 18 substantial innovation projects of VPGC, which set up a good platform for cooperation between universities and enterprises and is a good example of smooth realization of technology achievements into products and also laid a solid foundation for further cooperation between the two sides.
