Accompanied by Mr Yan Bingzhou, the vice chairman of Shiyan CPPCC and director of Science and Technology Information Research Institute (STIRI)，Shiyan city, Xu Baian, the president of Science and Technology Information Research Institute (STIRI) visited HUAT for investigation and inspection. President Zhong Yuning and vice president Jian Wei held talks with them at the conference room on the third floor of the administration building on the afternoon of April 29th.
President Zhong Yuning first gave a brief introduction of HUAT, and other information about disciplines and programs, cultivation of undergraduates and graduates, science research, international cooperation and future development. After his introduction, Mr Xu Baian also made a general introduction of their institute and hopes that both sides can cooperate more in the fields of exchange of experiences, sharing of information and etc. The two sides also exchanged opinions on establishing joint innovation system, intelligence research, management and service of science, cultivation and use of talented people, platform and staff construction, projects investment and etc.
It is known that STIRI of Hubei Province, one of biggest regional information centers around the country, is part of important science information system of the country and its recent fast development has made it a famous organization within the country and would- be world famous institute of science information research, production and service.
After the meeting, Mr. Xu Baian, Yan Bingzhou and other guests accompanied by vice president Jian Wei, visited and inspected the training center of automobile industry students’ formula racing studio and expressed appreciation for the out-of-class contests and innovation achievements made by the students.
