On the morning of November 6th, Mr. Properini, chairman of French National Education Promotion Association, and another two members paid friendly visit to HUAT.
Vice President Luo Yonge held a cordial meeting with the guests. On behalf of HUAT, Ms. Ma Xun, director of International cooperation and exchange office, gave the guests a brief introduction of HUAT, including its early foundation, development, relationship with Dongfeng Motor Company, teaching, researching findings, students’ activities and achievements, as well as information about international cooperation in the past few years.
Mr. Properini also gave a brief introduction of French National Education Promotion Association (ARAPEN) and its function. He said that as a non-profit agency, which was founded in 1985 and he himself is the founder, the association belongs to the Ministry of education of France and is committed to promote French language, culture and ideas to the world, and cultural exchange between countries. He said that the association is now cooperating with universities and authorities of China to promote training programs for teachers and students. Ms. Cao Guohua, program director of the association said the association could offer exchange program for our students.
Vice President Luo Yonge and all other staff present at the meeting expressed strong interest in the program and discussed the details with the guests.
Mr. Zhou Haiying, Yang Lijun, Ji Yibo, and Huang Yongchang were also present at the meeting.
