Invited by President Zhong Yuning, Mr. Allano, the director of Science and Future Technologies of Peugeot Citroen Group, France and Ms Xiao Haihong, Corporate University, Human and resource of the group visited HUAT on the 31st of October.
Accompanied by vice president Luo Yongge and other staff members, the guests visited some labs and training centers in different colleges. During the visit, Mr. Allano showed great appreciation and interest in the electronic control testing device boxes when he was told that they were designed and made by ourselves and could provide plentiful platforms for students’ practice. The guests also paid a visit to FSC studio and examined the racing cars made by students themselves and had a picture taken together with the students.
After the visit, President Zhong Yuning, vice president Luo Yonge held friendly talks with Mr. Allano. The main topic of the interview centered around future cooperation between the two sides. When it came to the possibility of jointly setting up open labs of smart car system that focus on research and development of smart cars, electric cars, and green energy cars, Mr. Allano said that HUAT should find a French university to cooperate and apply for such a project to Peugeot Citroen Group. UTBM (UNIVERSITÉ DE TECHNOLOGIE DE BELFORT-MONTBÉLIARD), he said, was an ideal partner for such a project because of its similar history, education programs and training mold to those of HUAT. In the place where UTBM is located, there are several internationally famous companies and automobile factories such as Peugeot, Citroen Alstom Ltd, etc. Vice President Luo Yonge appreciated the idea and expressed his hope to cooperate with UTBM with the help of the group. During the talks, both sides were optimistic about the prospects for cooperation between the two sides, and put forward the preliminary idea for further cooperation.
Present at the meeting were other deans and directors, such as Mr. Chen Yurong, Zhou Haiying, Wang Baohua, and Ms. Ma Xun.
