A few days ago, an announcement was made by the Hubei Education Department that the list of second group of pilot universities to transform in development came out. HUAT was among the list that contains 7 provincial universities and also among the list were the other 5 majors of universities subordinate to the Ministry of Education. 

It is one of the important work of the provincial government to deepen the comprehensive reform of higher education and promote the development transformation of universities. It is also an important measure to speed up the cultivation of talented people, promote the service ability of universities and advance the development of universities in their unique ways. In September, 2014, 11 universities were approved to make such a start in Hubei province.

The final approval is achieved by common effort from different departments of HUAT, such as Higher Education Institute, President’s office, teaching department, college of electrical and information, school of economical and management, graduate school, international office and so on.
