On December 31st, HUAT signed more than one million Yuan contracts with Special Commercial Vehicle Company (SCVC) of Dongfeng Motor Co. Ltd. The contracts are about two projects. One is the development of “dynamometer for hubs and the control system”. The value of the two contracts is worth six hundred ninety thousand Yuan and six hundred and fifty thousand Yuan respectively, which also signals a deeper cooperation between HUAT and SCVC.
The contracts, as a part of the cooperation agreement signed by the two parties months ago, will be carried out by a branch factory of SCVC-the power equipment factory and College of electrical and information engineering of HUAT. According the technical requirements proposed by the factory, the research team from the college did a lot of work in drawing the draft agreement, intention of cooperation, project evaluation, budget, business proposal and a series of business consultation before the contracts were signed. The practical operation of the contracts will be a new momentum to both the technological upgrading of the factory and the featured education and cultivation of teachers’ practical engineering abilities.
