On December 30th, the day just before the New Year was coming, An International Research Center named as Automotive Cloud Computing and Simulation Control (ICACCSC) had been approved to set up at HUAT by Science and Technology Department of Hubei Province, according to news released recently by the department. This is the first time for HUAT to have been approved to set up such an international base.

The setting up of the research center was jointly applied for by a team led by Professor Zhou Haiying, dean of College of electrical and information engineering and a state-level key laboratory-modeling and LIMOS(optimization, mathematical，CNRS UMR6158) lab at University of Blaise Pascal, France. The two parties have had cooperated and will continue to cooperate in the fields of IOT, embedded computing and modeling optimization etc on the basis of this center.

A relevant responsible person said that the establishment of such a joint research center will be beneficial to both sides in the fields of highly-talented personnel, joint R&D programs, co-cultivation of talented personnel, promotion of academic exchange and stepping up on international platforms etc. It sets a good example for other academic fields to carry out international cooperation.
