A few days ago, students of HUAT returned with six cups and certificates from Changshu city, Jiangsu province, where there was held the 6thChina Auto Design Competition 2015, sponsored by Society of Automotive Engineering of China.
With "intelligence and life" as the theme of this competition, it requires the use of intelligent to show the advanced concept of car design, testing the candidates’ ability of innovative thinking, hand drawing, manipulation of software, clay-model making and oral defense. Among the works sent to the competition, six of them were awarded prizes and certificates, including the best concept design and second prize for “Lingchong” by Liu Yan, excellent design team for “SHARK Container Trucks by Liu Yan, Zhang Yingjie and Fu Lihong, "City Guards-Green Car" by Liu Yan, Wang Xiaolong and Lu Yuting. The winner will also get "a qualification certificate as trainee automotive designer". Professor Wang Zhong won the honor of top ten excellent tutors. HUAT was also awarded with honor of excellent contribution of talents.
The China Auto Design competition is held once two years. It is a state-level and professional competition with the largest scale and most authority, aiming to discover, train and transport outstanding young automotive design talents. It is also regarded as the cradle of future car design masters.
