Wang Yushan came to Germany from Shiyan, Hubei, China through an exchange program between Hubei University of Automotive Technology (HUAT) and Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HS Ulm). She came to Audi because of her graduate thesis.
Throughout her childhood, Wang Yushan was fascinated by cars. Her obsession with cars inherited from her parents who worked in the automotive industry. As a Chinese girl from HUAT, Shiyan city, which is one of the biggest automobile production centers in China, she came to Ulm through an exchange program in 2009. “For me, this is a unique opportunity I have been looking forward to satisfy my curiosity about the long tradition of German auto industry,” she said.
In the mid of 2011, no sooner had she ended her undergraduate studies in Ulm, Wang Yunshan Immediately applied for a place at Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences successfully and began her graduate study of vehicle engineering. She had affinity with Audi because of her graduate thesis concerned with Audi. After graduation, she applied for ACEMpro (Audi Company expert and management program).
ACEMpro project lasts for 15 months, including two periods of working experience in China and Germany headquarters. The project members will be trained in the future for the purpose of their future work. Both her study experience in Ulm and work experience in Audi benefited Ms Wang greatly. "I'm so happy to be able to take part in the ACEMpro project. Audi has a great reputation in China. I can’t imagine a better employer except Audi,” she said with smile and satisfaction.
Wang had a good understanding about German when she studied at Ulm and language was not a problem for her, either. She has been accustomed to the German diet, too. In order to make herself adapted to the local customs, Wang and her colleagues have learned to cook their own local flavors. This is definitely another new experience for Wang Yushan. In her spare time, she often went out for an outing with her colleagues. "I have learned Zumba. It's really interesting to me."
After her work in Neckarsulm, Wang will return to China, back to the mold department of Audi in Changchun. As a project manager, she will keep on improving the mold production of new Audi A4, contributing her talents to the introduction of the new Audi lengthened version into the market.
