On November 23rd, Ms. Julie Wilkinson, director of international program of computer and engineering school, Huddersfield University, UK, visited HUAT and had a meeting with Mr. Gong Aihong, dean of mechanical engineering school, Ms. Ma Xun, director of international cooperation and exchange office of HUAT. They discussed the possibility of cooperation between the universities and reached a memo of understanding of future cooperation.
The meeting was held at the conference room of mechanical engineering school, after Ms. Julie visited the practical training center, library, and other teaching and training facilities of HUAT. Mr. Gong expressed his warm welcome to Ms. Julie and gave a brief introduction to the future plan and development, academic programs, employment of graduates and achievements of student’s competitions. Ms. Ma also introduced the present situations of cooperation with foreign universities.
Ms. Julie also introduced briefly the history of Huddersfield, present situation, faculty, employment of graduates and international cooperation programs. She said that the two universities share similarities in features and ideas of running a university. She also spoke highly of the outstanding abilities of students in practice.
