On May 14^th to 15^th, the 31^st Chinese Kongfu Competition of Hubei Province was held at Hubei University of Chinese Medicine. Students from HUAT made shining performance in different items such as the first prize for men’s elementary cudgel skills in group A, the third prize for men’s cudgel skills in self elective item in group A and other prizes in different items. Because of the students’ shining performance, Ms. Chen Ling, the coach and judge, also won both the honor of “excellent coach” and “excellent judge” in the competition. 

The competition was organized by University Sports Association of Hubei province and attracted 428 athletes from 42 universities of Hubei province. The competition items cover Nan Quan (fist skills of southern style), Chang Quan (arm and fist skills), skills of knives, swards, spears and cudgels etc.
