On April 29th, HUAT and China Construction Bank, Shiyan branch had an agreement signing ceremony of “Smart Campus-Easy Card” project. According to the agreement, China Construction will invest 8 million Yuan on the construction of “Smart Campus”, which will upgrade the campus network and make it more efficient and convenient for teachers and students’ work, research and study.  

At the ceremony, on behalf of both parties, Mr. ZhongYuning, president of HUAT and Mr. Li Ming, director of Shiyan branch of China Construction Bank signed on “The agreement of joint construction of Smart Campus-easy card”, which indicates an initial operation of the project and a new stage of cooperation between the two parties.  

Mr.Chen Hongbin, CUC of HUAT made a speech at the ceremony. While expressing his thanks to the bank on behalf on HUAT, he said sufficient attention and quick reaction from the top of the bank, and support from other related municipal and provincial departments led to the final agreement smoothly.   

Chen Hongbing also pointed out that HUAT had long-term and stable partnership with Shiyan branch of China Construction Bank in wider areas and deep levels. The bank had provided HUAT with strong support and great help with highly efficient and convenient financial service for all the staff and students of HUAT. With the investment, the information infrastructures such as main networks, wireless, cloud computing, data center and network security would be greatly promoted, which in turn, would also has great influence on other aspects like some application for national level projects as virtual simulation experiment and training center, daily management and all the staff and students’ work, study and research. He expressed his hope to deepen, widen and strengthen the cooperation on the basis of this practice, and make it a model of cooperation between universities and banks in China.  

 Mr. Zhang Shaoen, deputy director of Hubei branch of China Construction Bank said, HUAT was famous for its own features among universities in China and it was called “the cradle of excellent engineers” with graduates all over the country. China Construction Bank, the second largest comprehensive commercial bank in the world, took a leading place among the state-run banks in Hubei province. The good cooperation basis and future development would bring great benefit to the both sides in advancing construction of information infrastructures of HUAT and expanding financial service of the bank as well.
