Accompanied by Mr. Cheng Hongbing, Chairman of University of Council of HUAT and Mr. Zhong Yuning, president of HUAT, Mr. Zhou Ji, party secretary of Shiyan City came to HUAT and had campus visit to some places like Yufu Library and the studio of HUAT racing car team.
When Mr. Zhou Ji visited an exhibition with pictures of the great founders of the People’s Republic of China as Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and Zhu De just in memory of the death of their fortieth anniversary, president Zhong Yuning said the library had exhibitions with different themes every month. Mr. Zhou Ji gave an affirmative comment on HUAT’s education work and the personalized management of the library.
When he saw a poster with a title “ You choose books and we pay for them”, Mr. Zhou showed much interest in it and asked for more information about it. He said it was quite new idea and needed to be praised. He also expressed his hope that the library could be open half a day on weekend to the citizens of Shiyan and the city government could also provide some financial support to the library.
When he arrived at the studio of racing car team, he was warmly welcomed by the members of the team. Seeing cool styling studio "champion car" and rows of shiny trophies and listening to the introduction, Mr. Zhou Ji nodded his head once in a while asked in detail about the characteristics and performance of the car and shook hands the team members one by one, encouraging them to cherish time, learn to be professional and useful men to the society.
