On the afternoon of April 24, representatives of alumni in Beijing had a get-together in Shunyi District in Beijing and exchange their experience with each other. President Zhong Yuning attended the get-together with Mr. Guo Douxi, deputy secretary of alumni union of HUAT.
Mr. Gao Lin, vice chairman of Beijing alumni branch, expressed their warm welcome to the leaders and teachers from alma mater. He said that they were excited to meet old leaders and teachers from alma mater on the occasion of all kinds of flowers in blooms. Besides getting in full touch with all the alumni in and around Beijing, the branch would continue to support and join the construction and development of alma mater and play an active role in helping establishing relationship between HUAT and enterprises in Beijing.
Subsequently, the alumni and teachers also talked about their present work and situations and expressed their opinions about how to make the alumni branch in Beijing function better.
Zhong Yuning said, "Thank the alumni in Beijing for your long-time support and concern for HUAT. I am very pleased to see the achievements you’ve made in Beijing”. He also gave a brief introduction about recent development of HUAT and said alumni branches local areas are the main channels through which HUAT communicate with its graduates. The development of HUAT needs attention and support from all these alumni. He also encourages them to make greater contribution to the country and society, which would also add glory to the alma mater.
