The international top formula SAE in Germany ended in Hockenheim on August 14, 2016 after 6 days of competition. Racing Car No.222 from HUAT went through performance checking smoothly and set new ranking records of Chinese racing car teams in Germany by 4.24 seconds in 75 meters of straight line acceleration(ranked 10) and 73.72 seconds in high-speed obstacle avoidance (ranked 13) in the group of fuel racing cars.
As a formula SAE of highest in level and largest in scale, FSG attracted 111 racing car teams from 21 countries around the world among which 73 are fuel cars teams and 38 are electric cars. There are two representatives from China, one is from HUAT-fuel car team and the other is from Lushan college, Guangxi University of Science and Technology-electric car team.
