On December 19th, experts from BMSTC (Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission), led by Mr. Yang Pengyu, vice director of scientific instruments and equipment cooperation Service Center of BMSTC visited HUAT accompanied by Mr. Chen Jianlong, vice director of SMSTB (Shiyan Municipal Science and Technology Bureau) and Mr. Cheng Xiaorong, director of SMPDC (Shiyan Municipal Productivity Development Center) and inspected and gave guidance to the advancement of counterpart collaboration projects. President Zhong Yuning and vice president Zhang Youbin had a meeting with the visitors.
At the meeting, Mr. Zhang Youbing, vice president of HUAT, made a detailed report on current work, light commercial vehicle lab with China Mechanical institution and future plans, hoping to gain support from BMSTC.
Mr. Yang Pengyu gave an affirmative comment on the effort HUAT had made and some good advice on how to accomplish the key tasks and set up joint lab. He also said that he would like to offer information and help in such areas as establishing relation with universities in Beijing, joint platforms with enterprises and open fund.
While expressing his thanks for the care and support from SMSTB and SMPDC, President Zhong Yuning gave a brief introduction about HUAT’s history, academic advantages, hoping both sides would use counterpart collaboration as a platform to reinforce communication and innovation so as to achieve more from the joint projects.
After the meeting, Mr. Yang Pengyu and his colleagues visited some labs, centers on the campus and communicated with relevant directors.
