According to news released by Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Department (HPSTD), another HUAT’s Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center is accredited officially by HPSTD. The center is named as Research Center of smart car net and Electronic Control Technology.

The center led by the research team of electric and information engineering school takes the advantage of smart car net and automotive electronic control to carry out research in the field of motor control of battery-powered cars and testing and controlling of automotive electronic devices on the basis of current research and discipline accumulation. It will provide technical support and offer an excellent development platform for specific research and application of industrialization around the need of automotive industry chain so as to serve for the need of provincial automotive and electric information industries and the development of local economy.

It is believed that HUAT has had research team with a high academic level, reasonable talent structure and strong innovation ability, which has already achieved a lot in related research fields. The accreditation is a proof of HUAT’s researching ability and achievements. The school will reinforce the management and construction of the center as well as investing more so to make it a leading research center in its own field.
