According to working schedule, Mr. Lu Jinyuan, director of cooperation and exchange office and other staff came to HUAT for investigation into HUAT’s opinions about the document of how to carry out the plan of further opening to the world in education for universities in Hubei Province.

At the meeting, vice president Lu Yongge expressed his welcome to the guests for work guidance and investigation. Ms. Ma Xun, director of international and exchange office and other staff also attended the meeting. Ms. Ma made a report on HUAT’s achievement of international exchange and cooperation in the past few years, present situation, problems and solutions as well as future plan about international exchange and cooperation.

Mr. Lu gave a positive comment on the achievement and future plan made by HUAT and made an explicit explanation about why the provincial government pays much attention to international cooperation and exchange in the universities of Hubei province in recent years, pointing out that internationalization of higher education is an irreversible trend and all the universities should take it as a responsibility to advance internationalization as well as fitting it in the state open policy to follow “The Belt and Road” education activities proposed by the Ministry of Education and cooperate with universities and enterprises and carry out other activities related to the policy, such as intellectual aids, humanity exchange, enrollment of foreign students etc.
