From May 8th to 11th, Mr. Schrade, Professor and Dr. from University of Applied Science, Ulm, Germany came to visit HUAT on invitation. During the visit, Professor Schrade had a meeting with Ms. Ma, director of international cooperation and exchange office, Ms. Feng Ying, party secretary of college of automotive engineering, Mr. Liu Cheng Wu, vice director of Provincial key laboratory and exchanged opinions about the cooperation for years between the two universities and discussed matters related to engineering training models and teaching methods. Both sides expressed their desire to cooperate in the field of scientific research in the future.
During his visit, professor Schrade also interview 9 students planning to study in Germany this September and gave them oral and written tests. This is the 7th year for the German University to enroll students of HUAT. So far, there have been 27 students having completed their study at Ulm and some of them are pursuing their master’s degree in Germany. Those who graduated are now working at China and Germany joint adventures or German companies and enterprises.
Professor Schrade gave a series of lectures for the students interested in Germany, introducing some information about the location of his university, education models, program settings, teaching facilities, research equipment and international cooperation as well as lectures for teachers about recent development of electric cars and research findings made by staff of the his colleges.
