On July 29th, sponsored by the Hubei Institute of Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Industrial Automation Committee, hosted by Hubei University of Automotive Technology and Dongfeng Equipment Manufacturing Co. (DFEMC), the 15th annual academic conference of mechanical industry automation（MIA） was held at HUAT with the topic of “A celebration of the 30th Anniversary foundation of the committee and Made in China-2025 and intelligent manufacturing workshop "as the theme. The conference was chaired by professor Huang Yu and more than 60 participants attended the conference.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Zhong Yuning, president of HUAT and MR. Cai Shilong, Deputy general manager of DFEMC delivered speeches briefly introducing HUAT and DFEMC respectively.
During the conference, six professors and experts made academic reports on different topics, including president Zhong Yuning, whose report was entitled “A Research on the Application of Automobile Manufacturing Automation”.
The participants had a heat discussion on the reports and future development of the special committee. After the meeting, President Zhong Yuning showed the participants around the campus, including the students’ racing car team and its studio, National Digital Engineering Research Center of manufacturing equipment, HUAT branch and other national experimental demonstrating teaching centers.
