On June 2nd, a meeting organized by Shiyan Science and Technology Bureau (SSTB) was held in Conference Room-1 of Dongfeng Spare Parts Company (DSPS), in which A Research Center of Shiyan New Energy Vehicles Key Components was being evaluated by an expert group. The center consists of research teams led by professor Zhou Haiying from HUAT and DSPS. With support from SSTB, a lot of preparation work had been done before the evaluation, such as goals, purposes and plans.

At the evaluation meeting, Professor Zhou made a detailed report on the significance and purpose, the existing hardware and software facilities, the scientific research team and the research foundation. And then on-spot defense began about operation, team responsibility, funding and other issues etc.

After the defense, all the experts gave affirmative comments on the set-up of the center and thought the center was duly set up with clear guidance and future development as well as foresight. It would play not only a significant role in the research and development of technology of key parts for new energy cars in the next 5 to 10 years, but also enhance the development of local economic society. In the meanwhile, the expert group offered some practical advice such as further highlighting the local needs and characteristics, and further strengthening the relationship with the municipal government and Dongfeng Company and related industries.
